  Programs: Youth Build
"It is not how much you do, but how much Love you put into the doing that matters." - Mother Theresa

Youth Build is Habitat's program to involve the youth in the ministry of ending poverty housing. Through Youth Build, thousands of youths-high school and college students, out-of-school youth, young professionals, and church youth groups-have been helping needy Filipino families build decent, durable, and affordable homes. Some have even organized themselves into youth core groups in their respective schools and colleges, engaging in raising funds, disseminating information about Habitat, and even regularly visiting Habitat communities to interact with homepartners, share the Word of God through prayer meetings and basic ecclesiastical communities, or organize and train choirs, dance groups, or athletic teams of homepartner youth.

Others volunteers help at affiliate offices and at the Philippine National Office to help in various tasks, such as encoding volunteer and financial information in databases, designing information materials and administrative systems, sorting files, etc.

Originally an annual event, Youth Build is now a year-round program, although a special build is usually held at the start of summer vacation during March or April.

Youths who wish to become involved may contact the nearest affiliate or the volunteers coordinator at the Philippine National Office.

With some schools and colleges, service with Habitat can be credited with the requirements of the National Service Training Program (NSTP).
