Habitat Teaches Children To Donate with The Kiddo-Preneur Summer Bazaar 2012
Habitat for Humanity Philippines partners with The Kiddo-Preneur Summer Bazaar 2012 as the donate leg of the activity fair. Set on the 14th of April at The Tents, Alpha Southgate Mall, this event is inviting children ages 4-16 to participate in order to learn to save, invest, earn, and donate.

On Its Foundation Day, Youth Pledge to Rebuild Navotas

On the 106th year of its founding, Navotas City Mayor, 39-year-old John Rey Tiangco, can use all the help he can get. This he relayed to over 200 students and sponsors at the Habitat for Humanity Youth Build Launch at Greenbelt 5 last Friday, where he narrated each calamity after calamity, coming from fires and floods, in his area of responsibility.
In May 2012, the Habitat Youth Movement aims to beat their own record by raising enough funds and gathering 2,000 volunteers to build 200 homes. Their goal is to raise P32M, 60% of which was already raised. These youngsters are tapping into their own networks to achieve a common goal: come to the aid of families struck by calamities who have lost everything. |

“Some of my students attended this activity thinking that it is just a school requirement,” said Ms. Regina Ver-Santos, teacher of MGIS. “But I think we all learned something more meaningful than that. My students learned how privileged they are and how much happiness they could generate by volunteering just a few hours of their time.” |

They conducted a teambuilding activity in the Pasig 2 Townhomes Habitat Community in Molave Street, Pasig City. This program was the first management training that incorporated social volunteering. |
