URBAN RENEWAL
Habitat promotes urban renewal, where with the use of appropriate technology, efficient and affordable medium rise condominium type structures are built where land is scarce and expensive.
Current Projects with the City of Pasig:
Pasig 1. Two medium-rise buildings are being built in 1,110 sq. meter lot in Brgy. Pinagbuhatan. Each unit has 20 sq-meter floor area with provision for loft. Beneficiaries are families in the city living along danger zones and needy families from the formal sector who are not capable of obtaining decent homes.
Pasig 2. Thirteen two-storey residential townhouse style buildings are being built in Sitio Nagpayong, Brgy. Pinagbuhatan. A total of 416 families are expected to benefit in the project.

Peace Build Houses, SOCCKSARGEN, Mindanao
|
PEACE BUILD
This is carried out by bringing people of different creeds and faith together to jointly address the massive need for decent housing in underserved communities.
The three-year project in Mindanao aimed to empower communities of internally displaced persons, former combatants, and their families in the South Cotabato, Cotabato Province, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos City (SOCCKSARGEN) corridor (Region 12) in Southern Philippines. The ultimate goal is to reintegrate them in the normal social fabric of life and empower them to become economically and socially active.
But more than just building houses, the project has facilitated the provision of education, skills and livelihood support activities, and improved access to water, environmental health and sanitation facilities and services through institutionalized partnerships and alliances.
