More than eight years since Super Typhoon Haiyan struck the country, many families still lack a safe, decent, permanent home to restart their lives anew despite various relocation efforts and programs.

Since 2014, Habitat Philippines, in partnership with Lions Clubs International Foundation, has endeavored to support these families through permanent housing and resettlement in safe communities. Through our collaboration, 150 families have at last moved into a safer home in Tacloban City and Pastrana, Leyte.

We turned over 50 housing units last September 2020 in Barangay District IV, Pastrana; and we are building 50 more to complete our 200-unit commitment. We target to finish the construction this 2022.

Our long-standing partnership has not only enabled us to construct more homes but also significantly helped families restore their hope and strengthen their resilience.
